Kathryn Jackson was awarded the Women in Leadership Award from NAWBO and Channel 7 on December 26th. Kathryn is a business and estate attorney who was once a partner in a large law firm in downtown Buffalo. After 13 years, she left the firm to open her own law practice in the Village of Williamsville and is still going strong after almost 10 years.

September 23-25th 2011 saw NYS Women Inc. members from all over New York State gather in Lake Placid, NY for the Fall Board meeting and a Special Member Meeting at the High Peaks Resort. Members of the host District XI, Carrie Locatelli, Bev Sprague and Linda Provo welcomed attendees while Mother Nature participated with an offering of glorious fall foliage.

The board of directors of NYS Woman, Inc, - Buffalo Niagara Chapter, is pleased to announce that they will be participating in a volunteer program with Everywoman Opportunity Center of Buffalo (EWOC) for this upcoming year.  We are truly excited to be able to offer our assistance to this very worthy group.  Due to all the budget cutbacks, our help is coming at an important time as EWOC is struggling financially and cannot afford to pay for a lot of the things they need to run their program effectively.
