Everyone is welcome to attend two of our events as a guest. This does not include the December or June fundraisers. After the second regular meeting you attend, we will ask you to join our organization.

There are NO refunds for any events and if you do not show after registering you will be billed. The events are always on unless the location is closed.

Registration prior to the meeting is required due to counts needing to be in prior to the event. No walk-ins or paying at the door. We ask that you please pay by credit card. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay by credit card. Just check out as a guest. If you are paying by check the check must be received prior to the meeting date.

Achievements Through Mentoring: The Woman's Role

Danise C. Wilson, MPH is a lifelong resident of Buffalo, NY and has committed the last 20 years to the enhancement and enrichment of her community through outreach and mentorship. Mrs. Wilson is a graduate of the Buffalo Public School system, Daemen College, and the University at Buffalo, Masters of Public Health degree program. Her education and experience in Program Management, Community Engagement and Human Resource Management has allowed her to develop, manage and implement innovative statewide programs focused on increasing the diversity and number of health and STEM professionals in under served urban and rural communities. Professionally, Danise has managed to successfully navigate the career ladder by advancing her education and role within her organization.

Danise applies her acquired knowledge and skill to her current position as the Executive Director of Erie Niagara Area Health Education Center (ENAHEC). In her current role, she has committed herself to becoming a change agent for those within her community by providing them with guidance, educational opportunities and career exposures. She was recently recognized for her work being named one of the 2017 recipients of Buffalo Business First “40 Under 40”.

She utilizes her knowledge of achievement and advancing through adversity to instruct others to do the same, allowing them to chart a course of continued success. She applies life-learned principles to local institutions such as Erie Community College, where she champions services to help recruit and support students from an underrepresented community to ensure their educational and career success.

Danise is a wife and proud mother of five. Her children are continuously her sole motivation to succeed and a reminder to continue to persevere and be a positive role model. She remains active in their education by volunteering and participating in school events. Her goal is to have each of her children become successful and active contributors to society. Danise is also very active in her community where she advocates for equality, education and fair treatment of others. She has demonstrated continued commitment to her family, community and profession through her steadfast service.
