This seminar will cover the basics of everyday negotiating (just watch that 5 year old negotiate for the cookie she wants!), as well as some practical tips on negotiating your salary raise. It will be presented by Kathryn Jackson and Ramona Gallagher.

Kathryn Jackson graduated cum laude from the University of Western Ontario, and received her Law Degree from SUNY Buffalo where she was an editor of the Buffalo Law Review. After 20 years in practice, many of them as a partner in a large downtown firm, 10 years ago Kathy opened her own office in Williamsville where she practices in the areas of business law, and estate planning and administration. Kathy is recognized as one of the leaders in her field, and she is frequently asked by the Bar Associations to give courses and seminars to other members of the Bar about Estate and Business areas of the law.

Ramona was appointed Assistant Labor Commissioner in Buffalo in 1984 and served in that position until 1996; she retired in 1999 after a 28-year career with the NYS Department of Labor. After her retirement, she interned with a well-established area labor arbitrator and then entered the field of labor arbitration. She is on the labor panel of the American Arbitration Association, the NYS Employment Relations Board, and the NYS/CSEA Disciplinary Administration Panel. Ramona has served as an arbitrator and hearing officer for the National Lacrosse League & Professional Lacrosse Players Association and previously for the (now-defunct) International Hockey League & Professional Hockey Players Association. She has provided arbitration services for several county, municipal, and school district entities.
