Event date: 9/1/2021 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Export event

Join us for a discussion on the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on women (vs. men). What has been impact on women with COVID-19 and work? What support is available for women at the workplace during the pandemic?  Our speaker, Lisa A. Coppola, Esq., partner at The Coppola Firm, will go through the top 5-10 questions her firm has been asked by employees – and employers – relative to rights and responsibilities around working during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lisa A. Coppola, Esq., founder and partner at The Coppola Firm, understands the challenges her clients face, whether they’re starting a new business, taking their existing operations in a new direction, or facing a claim or threat. She particularly enjoys working with the underdog, because her compassion and creativity – and she has plenty of both – are put to the test.

In the 30-plus years she has practiced in New York, Ms. Coppola has actively litigated cases in State and Federal courts. She has a breadth of experience in business litigation as well high-exposure personal injury matters, including taking cases to verdict over the course of many years and in many courtrooms. While she is comfortable before a jury, she equally is at home before appellate and arbitration panels, and she has a sweet spot for counseling and coaching business owners and executive management.

Ms. Coppola is engaged in community service as a member of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Alliance Advisory Board and as an advisory board member for the MedLaw Partnership of WNY. She is a member of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Region II Regulatory Fairness Board. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Women Business Owners’ national board of directors and is a past president of NAWBO’s Buffalo Niagara Chapter. Previously, Ms. Coppola was a partner at Hodgson Russ and was honored to be the first female litigator named an equity partner there.

Along with her business partner Joseph Han, Ms. Coppola owns The English Gardener, Western New York’s premier garden design and construction company where she combines her love of gardening with her keen business sense.
