Throughout the year the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of New York State Women, Inc. showcases successful local women who give back through their volunteer efforts.

Beverly Robinson-Smith, lead consultant and motivational speaker for Shifting Gears Unlimited LLC, will discuss her experiences getting involved with local politics.

Join us for an evening of networking and fun at Painting With a Twist! Our “girls night out” starts at 5:30 PM at Painting with a Twist, 3735 Union Road in Cheektowaga (Consumer Square Plaza, next to Marshalls). The $45 cost includes all the materials needed to create your own painting, plus a light dinner and snacks. BYOB: feel free to bring a bottle of your favorite wine/beverage!  

Our speaker Lindsey Lauren Visser, historian and researcher, will discuss the Buffalo Six, a group of suffragists who were jailed for protesting at the White House in 1917 as part of a months-long picketing efforts to protest President Woodrow Wilson’s unwillingness to support women’s suffrage. 

ZOOM - Our speaker, Dr. Rosalind Lai, will discuss how women experience stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage differently from men – and how women’s atypical stroke symptoms can delay diagnosis and treatment.
